YVONNE BUSH

Yvonne Bush is a painter based in Banff whose work investigates the shifting light, weather, and topography of the Canadian Rockies through watercolour and acrylic. She earned her Honours Fine Arts degree from York University in Toronto where she pursued her career in Performing and Visual Arts reflecting her interdisciplinary foundation. Living in Banff provides daily encounters with dramatic light and seasonal change which she translates into intimate landscapes that balance observation with a lyrical sense of place.  A recent artist residency in Italy and participation in an international show deepened her resolve to paint and present the natural beauty of her locale to broader audiences. Recently focusing on smaller paintings, she enjoys distilling vast landscapes into moments of stillness and clarity - small windows that evoke wonder, reflection and connection to the spirit of our natural environment.
