CEDAR MUELLER
Cedar grew up on a farm in British Columbia's Chilcotin Region, where she spent her childhood riding horses. With a passion for wildlife, she pursued a Master’s degree studying grizzly bears in the Canadian Rockies.
Her love for art led her to paint horses and wildlife, and later, she became a metal sculptor. After learning to weld from a neighbor, she began creating sculptures from rusted metal, much of which she collected from old farms and ranches in her hometown.
Her first sculpture, "Rusty," placed 4th in the 2013 Castlegar Sculpturewalk’s People’s Choice Awards and was later purchased by the City of Rossland. Many of her sculptures have since been bought by collectors, and she’s won awards like Best of Show in 3D at the Calgary Stampede Art Auction for two consecutive years.
Cedar splits her time between Canmore, Alberta, and Tatlayoko Lake, British Columbia, where she lives with her husband, Rod, and their dog, Ingo.
