A reoccurring theme in my work is the coexistence of natural landscapes and modern infrastructure, blending elements like communication towers, neighbourhoods, roads, and flocks of birds. The juxtaposition of natural phenomena like bird murmurations with technological elements can evoke thoughts on collective behavior and the influence of technology on our society. The aerial perspective in much of my work draw parallels with how satellites capture our world. It highlights the intersection of nature and technology in shaping our perception.
My compositions are made from meticulously hand cut stencils, a similar process to silkscreening, giving the work a more graphic feel. The imagery is applied between layers of clear epoxy adding an interesting depth to the work. The surface is then honed to a satin finish resulting in a unique sensory experience for viewers.
