ARETHUSA TRAIL
Dominik Modlinski is a Canadian landscape painter who immigrated to Canada at the age of 16 and studied painting and drawing at the Ontario College of Art. He developed a strong connection to the wilderness of Northern Ontario, later painting at the Algoma School of Landscape Arts, where he deepened his understanding of the Group of Seven tradition and the Canadian landscape. His practice is rooted in immersive fieldwork, often working directly on location in remote wilderness areas including the Rockies, Lake Superior, and Kluane National Park. Dominik Modlinski’s paintings are an excellent choice for collectors seeking expressive Canadian landscape works that capture the lived experience, atmosphere, and emotional presence of the land.
