My approach to painting has usually been a very direct, wet on wet technique, that in the end creates a varied textural surface, small abstractions that eventually will tie the composition together. I love to see people walk up close to the piece and view the smaller components. Most of my oil paintings are on canvas, but I love working on birch panels as well and pieces are presented framed or on deep stretcher bars.
