The ongoing theme of my work is making connections to the past. I am excited to have my first summer show at Canada House, and wanted to focus on the joy, colour and celebration that a fresh summer season can bring. Postcards have historically been used to show the beauty of a place to those back home. I wanted to play on this idea, and use this show as a way to invite you to visit scenes from the past, as a reminder of those who have been before and always said, “Wish You Were Here”.
