From Haffner Creek looking across to Prospector's valley, one can see the south side of the Valley of Ten Peaks, and as far as Mt. Biddle in Yoho. This is the meeting of 3 national mountain parks, seen shining through the elegant veil of a charred forest, now rich with regrowth. A sooty dramatic sky sets off gleaming snow capped peaks and recalls repeated fires that sweep through Kootenay National Park, land of fire of ice.
