Artist Statement:

"My art is not complex.  In a general sense, my paintings are all about light, and equally about my fascination with the natural world.  Both the flora and the fauna capture my interest.  My great passion for exploring the effects of light and atmosphere, married to my appreciation and reverence for the natural world, fills my painting life with joy, challenge and fulfillment.  My exploration of BC's coastline and the Albertan Rockies seems to be taking up  all the space on my easel as of late.  It is my fond hope to transport the viewer to the wild places I frequent while painting on location,  thus deepening the viewer's experience and appreciation for our natural heritage here in Western Canada."
