MOUNTAINS OF MORANT'S
Mountains are (L to R) Victoria behind, Sheol and Haddo make up the largest pair of peaks on the left. Sheol is closer, with the pointy top, and Haddo is the highest. A bit of Lefroy is behind them. Saddle is the flat top one. Popes Peak is the little pointy thing way back there. Fairview has all the snow, then St Piran and Niblock are on the far right with the wee Lake Agnes Teahouse between them, above the Little Beehive.
Glenn Payan is a Canadian painter based on Mayne Island in the Gulf Islands, whose work is deeply inspired by a lifelong connection to the mountains and the West Coast landscape. With early artistic influence from his father and formal study under Polish master Agata Teodorowicz, he has developed a distinctive style that blends technical skill with expressive colour and movement. His paintings often depict whimsical and atmospheric scenes, from mountain villages and winding coastal roads to Vancouver cityscapes, all shaped by his experiences as a former mountaineer and climber. Glenn Payan’s work is an excellent choice for collectors seeking vibrant, imaginative landscape paintings that capture the spirit and energy of the Canadian West Coast.
