André Pleau
André Pleau (b. 1950, Trois-Rivières, QC) is a self-taught Canadian painter whose work is deeply inspired by his lifelong connection to nature. A former wildlife conservation officer, he spent over three decades immersed in the wilderness, experiences that continue to shape his dynamic oil paintings. Using only a palette knife, he creates vivid, textured works that capture the raw energy of the outdoors. Since retiring in 2004 to focus on his art, Pleau has expanded into abstract painting while remaining rooted in his passion for nature’s power and beauty.
