NATIONAL INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY 2025
We are honoured to share and celebrate the work of Indigenous artists from across Canada.
We recognize and respect the diverse cultures, histories, and achievements of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, including the distinct traditions of the Inuit, Northwest Coast, Plains, Woodland, and Métis Nations.
Our gallery is located on the traditional territories of many Indigenous peoples. We acknowledge our presence on the lands outlined in Treaty 7 (1877) and Treaty 1895, the historic agreement between the Buffalo and Salmon peoples. This valley holds deep and enduring significance for the Ktunaxa (too-naa-xha), Secwépemc (sha-whep-mak or Shuswap), Métis, Dene, Tsuut’ina, Mountain Cree, Siksika and Blackfoot, and the Stoney Nakoda Nations.
We are committed to honouring Indigenous voices and supporting the continuation of these rich artistic legacies.
