Les Thomas Mugshot Series, Oscars 2024

To celebrate the 96^th Annual Academy Award ceremony on March 10^th , we're highlighting a spectacular collection by the wonderful Les Thomas! 

During lockdown Les showed that his creative genius knows no bounds, applying his colourful and unique style to the starker topic of famous celebrity mugshots. Les's juxtaposition of these harsh arresting images with his vibrant colours and multi-layered technique creates a collection that is as playful as it is sombre. This collection explores the idea of self image in the media, and how autonomy to control this is stripped away through the taking of a mugshot.
