A LIGHT BREEZE - ASPENS
I first began this painting using acrylics and produced a mountain landscape. The composition or colour wasn’t working and I was losing interest, so after putting it away for a while. I grabbed oils and produced this scene. I’m much happier with how this one came off and I think my portrayal of these aspens is unique and powerful. I try to simplify as well as abstract as far as I can without losing the essence of what I’m trying to say. Where I live, I’m surrounded by aspens and as I walk the dog through the hills, I study the patterns and colours from season to season.
