In the region of the Cariboo that I live in I am surrounded by ranches of all sizes. I find myself sketching down as many as I can in order to save a piece of our history. These old wooden barns and cabins seem to be a part of the landscape and I feel I can wrap my style around them. I love the way the logs turn silver and black and this offsets nice against a fall background or fiery sunset sky. I was pleased how this one came off almost like a study.
