MORNING AT 150 MILE HOUSE
I’ve always been drawn to the ranching history in my province, especially the Cariboo-Chilcotin region where I live. I pass by these old structures daily and continue to be inspired. Sketching in crayon or painting small studies on site, I fell I am capturing a piece of history. This ranch I visited one day with my sons and wandered around finding inspiration in the unique architecture. I’m pleased how this study came out and I think it is a powerful one. I try to capture as a many of these of old structures as I can before they are all gone.
