It seems I can’t go a year without traveling and hiking or camping along the parkway from Jasper to Lk. Louise. I seem to fill a sketchbook with crayon studies and see things with fresh eyes each time. Bow Lake is a particular favourite and I’ve always been drawn to the angles and patterns surrounding the lakes. This small study focuses on a unique angle of Crowfoot Glacier which seems to shrink in size each year. The history of the region and pioneer-guide Jim Simpson who built Num-Ti-Jah Lodge has always been an interest for me.
